My name is Patsy. I was found in a very rural part of Georgia, where there is not even an animal control officer to help bring stray suffering dogs like me to the shelter. I was pregant, had heartworm disease, and was living on my own, trying to fend for myself and my unborn babies. Thankfully, I was very blessed, and a person called a "dog rescuer" happened upon me. She called Underhound Railroad, and they agreed to help her save my life. I went to a vet for the very first time, and got my shots, and was treated for the heartworm. I am now done with that treatment! Horray! My babies have been born and adopted already, and they tell me that now it is my turn! They say we just have to wait for one of you to see how pretty how I am, and I will finally have my own chance to ride the big truck to New England and have a forever home like my pups all do. I might not be a pup, but I am only around 2 years old, and I promise I have so much love to give and life to live! I weigh around 50lbs and they say I have the build and beautiful fur of a golden retriever, but the pretty brindle coloring of a mountain cur. I hope one of you out there will give me a chance.
